A Day OFF!

Finally its here!  I am on the couch reading blogs at my leisure and planning my day....sans work!

Yesterday I made slow cooker Ayurvedic Kitchari~ OMG - amazing! Click on the photo for the recipe.  My peeps at the office loved it too - I added avocado and some ghee as a topper - Also put carrots in the pot and had to cook it a bit longer and add some additional water - but daaam is it yummy.

Yesterday was a good day - had green juice and Kitchari then we had company for dinner and my principals went out the window - red wine and cookies found their way into my pie hole....but dinner was simple sword fish so I'm not hating on it - rebooting today with  green juice and kitchari again.
I'm so looking forward to a long bike ride today ~ I have a few errands to run but that's about it!   Tomorrow is weigh in so I'm hoping like hell that last nights sins can be washed away today with juice and water.  Yesterday I felt so happy and peaceful and CLEAR MINDED.  Sugar really does fuck me up - I need to focus on how awesome that felt and keep going.

  7. I keep forgetting to tell you how to make the mash! Use a whole rutabaga, about three sweet potatoes, cut up and boiled till soft. Add some olive oil, a pinch of nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt and pepper to taste and voila! Oh yeah, mash them all up too. Very yummy:)
