Monday weigh in and week in review/week ahead

Who knew writing an outline would be so helpful ~ I stole this idea from someone out in blog land ~ not sure who, but thanks!


Weigh in today ~ 174.6 ~ Loss = 1lb ..I saw 172.4 last night..not sure what this all about but it is what is. I feel lighter and that's what counts  


Recap for last week 9/5 - 9/11


1. weigh in today and take it for what it is ~ 175.6 up 1.4lbs
2. protein protein protein followed by veggies n fruit ~ no mas sweet potato fries ~ This was ok ~ just having this in the front of my mind helped alot
3. H 2 the Izo ~ and lots of it! Yes ~ got this one down ~ chia seeds in water helps
4. Get work out plan for the next 7 seven days (I might just post this later for more accountability) ~ Done
5. LE SHOPPING!  Oh dinnerland ~ how you inspire me! ~ Got freebies.  Still have to go to the mall
  5b ~ le lingerie shopping ~ don't worry not posting photos ~ but its time to retire some granny panties! ~ got this done ~ lots of fun and makes me feel
skinny hello 36D!

 6. Relax and enjoy the ride ~ maintenance is still a scary idea ~ its the journey that I know. Working on this one ~ for the first time in my life I'm not rushing my way to goal.  I'm enjoying the ride and not stressing about it.

Monday ~ Mountain Bike ~ Did 2.5 Hours moderate pace ~ clearing debris from trail as we went

Tuesday ~ Run/ and Weights ~ FAIL ~ good friend in hospital = no time to work out...urgh 


Wednesday ~ Bike 2 hours / or run 5K ~ Ran 5K


Thursday ~ Boot Camp ~ Hell yeah - my arms are still burning!


Friday ~ Yoga ~ Went mountain biking with Mo instead ~ 2hours


Saturday ~ Easy Bike~ Did hard bike speed work for half hour and then moderate for 45 minutes

Sunday ~ Mountain Bike 3 hours ~
Did 2 hours over moguls with  a friend for her b-day



This week 9/12 - 9/18


Get back to working on a regular schedule ~ 
Protein, Protein , Protein
Cook ~ new recipes and make some slow cooker chili 
Water ~ 100oz a day
Work out 6 days
Plan vacation for October

Le Shopping NSV ~ Booyah!

Many of you know that I am a Mountain Bike junkie...even at 241 pounds I was whipping around in the woods and sucking wind on the hill climbs.  At 241 finding cycling clothing was a challenge.  I like to wear baggies ~ spandex is just wrong in my opinion ~ especially on this body.  I had to order online 1x or 2x and they were few and far between and expensive. I love to support my local bike shop but could never buy clothes there b/c they didn't carry any of the larger sizes.  It also doesn't help that a lot of clothing companies are European and run small (so cruel!).    
So imagine my shock and awe the other day when I was browsing my local bike shop and stumbled upon the the sale rack flush with baggie knickers and there was a size large ~ what the hell ...I tried them on ~ WTF! too big!! oh my..so I grabbed the medium and voila they fit!  I just about fainted in the dressing room!  
Size medium and Thirty Bucks and me shopping the rack like a "normal" person!!! Holy shiz! 

On the couture front ~ My friend has a client (yes one of those ladies who lunch) who has ..er..ahem.. outgrown some of her clothing.  I am the lucky recipient of her misfortune ~ one Vera Wang top and many other dresses ~ some are a bit snug right now but should fit in a month.  I will post photos soon after I get all my outfits together.  I'm hoping to build my fall wardrobe around these pieces ~ I'm on the hunt for cute boots, jacket and some black dress pants to complement my couture windfall. 

Its a beautiful day today ~ I'll be out biking in Rocky Point for 2 hours  this afternoon ~ woo hoo!

Friday wrap up

This week went flying by.  So far I have pretty much stuck to the plan with the exception of Tuesday.  Yesterday was boot camp ~ I'm so happy to be back and feeling strong.  Today is Mo's birthday so instead of Yoga we will be mountain biking ~ yay..I didn't want to do yoga anyway!  


My friend is out of the hospital and resting at home ~ thank God! Kidney stones are a bitch and I hope she never has to go through that again.  After dining at the hospital for a few days ~ I am horrified at the quality of food they give the patients and sell to the public ~ food is the best medicine and they serve  processed slop. I asked in the cafe if they had vegan option and the lunch lady looked at me like I had 3 heads.  WTF! A plant based diet has been proven to be the best for you and at the Hospital ~ a place of healing and well being ~ they are serving fried onion rings, pizza, processed lunch meats, some pot roast and mystery cheese....something has to change.


I'm trying to get life back on track after working the horse show and staying at the hospital.  I have been following Vegan Fusion  ~ Love the cook book "The 30 Minute Vegan" and am going to find a way to go to one of the immersion classes or the teacher training classes.  The one on Long Island where I live happens to fall on a weekend that I have a wedding to go to (Balls!) I'm going to have to find one elsewhere ~ Belize anyone?  I have this nagging idea that I should be a great vegan chef ~ perhaps make it into another career ~ I have to first get some training and see if cooking on a professional level is something that I would still enjoy.  I secretly want to open a vegan cafe where I live but keep it on the down low and just make really tasty food that people want that just happens to be cruelty free and vegan...

NEW YEAR ~ UPPING THE GAME

Was it the new smell or the hearts and rainbows that I loved more?....ah its a new year!


Yep ~ its a new school year!  I always have felt that the fall  is a new beginning ~ it must be the smell of fresh school supplies and new clothes.  I am motivated and ready to go shopping for some new kicks for running and some new duds for wearing ~ I mean Le Shopping.  (why does typing "le shopping" make me want "le crorssant"?)  January be damned! This is the new year that counts! 
Its odd that I still feel this way as i have no kids in school and have nothing to do with education ~ but the one big change where I live is that as of Noon today all the Summer people head back to Manhattan and life gets a little bit slower and we have our town back,  yes!


All pumped up to work out today as I have been slackin' on all that due to a crazy work schedule at a horse show and poor food choices  ~ yes I paid for those sins last night with a major allergic reaction in the middle of the night ~ damn you farm fresh mozzarella cheeze ~ you are dead to me!


So this is the outline for the le week ~ just puttin it out there...
