It’s Friday and that means it’s time for BYOC! Bring Your Own Crazy! We answer 5 questions in an effort to get to know each other better and to give our blogging brains a break. Copy to your own blog if you wish and ENJOY!
Name a Valentine Gift you would not want to receive:
A rake. ~ weird, I know but its the first thing that came to mind.
2. What’s your vacation personality? Do you act/eat/talk/do things differently or completely opposite from when you are not on vacation?
I'm still just doin me on vacation ~ although I have yet to go on Vacation with the band. So April's trip to California will be an adventure.
3. Describe yourself in 5 POSITIVE words.
Funny
Awesome
Athletic
Pretty
Dedicated
4. Do you have any phobias or irrational fears or dislikes?
Yes, I hate the sound of human breathing, sniffling, snoring or chewing. I will jump out of a moving bus to get away from that shit. I may have quit my last job via text message b/c my boss was a "breather" I was about to strangle him with a shoe lace. ...I should see someone about this....
5. Repeat question: Summarize your week in blog land and in real life.
Real life was great this week! First House sold! Done! Scale is moving down, got a fill and am working my band. Planning a Trip to Northern California ~ So if anyone has any recommendations or lives around there ...would love some ideas ~ vineyards and redwoods are top on my list!
Blog land has been good too ~ I love reading about everyone ~ even if my ADD forces me to skim a bit.... I still am rooting for you all. Thanks for all your positive comments this week. I was telling my dr about you all and what a huge part blogging has played in my weight loss journey.
Damnit, I was gonna put all those adjectives about me (besides athletic) and I was worried I'd sound too vain. But it just sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteRegretting choice of words.
I also cannot stand breathers. Ugh. Let's school them all on the benefits of breathing out of their noses.
OMG - Rambo cannot STAND to hear people CHEW! Congrats on the sale.
ReplyDeleteMuir Woods outside San Fran is incredible! They have a shorter trail that takes a couple of hours to go through. Go slow and just take it all in. It's truly a life-changing experience. They also have a longer 8ish hour trail that I didn't have time to go on. Alcatraz was really cool also.
ReplyDeleteIn Napa, definitely check out Yountville. There are some fantastic restaurants; Bottega - Michael Chiarello's restaurant was phenomenal and I also love Bouchon, it's a bit pricey and somewhat fancy but there's a beautiful courtyard and some cool shops. Healdsburg is also very cool. Lots of great shops and there are cool Farmer's Markets everywhere. Oh and check out the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market if you're in San Fran on a Saturday.
If you make it across Napa and into Sonoma you should check out Deerfield Ranch Winery and have a cave tasting. They've hollowed out the side of a mountain and put a living room like set-up in there for you to taste their wines. Their Red Rex was amazing! If you look on chowhound.com and read through the threads there will be tons of great winery and restaurant recommendations.
Wow! Thanks Erin!
DeleteI can't stand to hear someone eat either...and hearing someone chomp on ice drives me insane.
ReplyDelete#1 is the reason I come back to your blog for more and more! I love the honesty and randomness... and seriously who the hell would want a rake for V-day?
ReplyDeleteNo rake for me either-have been known to almost push hubby out of the bed for breathing heavily-not in that way ,oh well forget that sentence!!
