Getting back to Basics

Rule one - be kind to yourself...

Yesterday I wanted to do all liquids...but I had some local corn on the cob and hand made fresh mozzerella...Am I hating on not really - I was able to avoid processed sugar, alcohol and any crap food.

This morning I meant to wake up very early and ride my bike but slept till 8:30 instead.. I guess  I need it as I'm detoxing sugar..

Today's plan - Bike ride - beach and smoothies...

Have I mentioned my vitamix?  Holy crap - I am drinking a smoothie that has 
1 cup rice milk
1 scoop spirutine
1 scoop Green Vibrance
1 cup fresh local blueberries
.5 cup frozen raspberries
1.5 cups local organic kale

WOW~ its like drinking a farm stand with a floater of sunshine!  The kale is completely mixed in and undetectable...!  

Here's to marching on and taking care of this body....


  1. I too love the vitamix and Im defiantly trying your recipe. I really think that there is value to going back to basics. Fall cloths are sure to be kind.

  3. Sounds like a great plan. I'm in the middle of back-to-basics as well. How many grams of protein does a shake like yours have?

  5. Being kind to yourself is the first step to happiness. I don't care what others successes are. I have to be happy with me and what I'm doing. It has made a huge difference. I'm so jealous of your Vitamix. I want one bad...but I can't justify the cost. LOL
