This Moment

I have a confession.  I live somewhere else.  I live in the future, rushing through life looking for the finish line, the first place, the pat on the back.
When X happens I will be Y.  Or, if only I had this than I would be able to do that.

To quote a genius ~ "Life moves pretty fast.  You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

That's what I'm  practicing this week.  One moment at a time, one meal at a time, one work out at a time.
Yesterday, I shut off the phone and just went out ~ nice long (for me)  run 4 miles.  Then spent the evening with Mo at the beach ~ swimming and just taking in the sunset.  I spend a lot of time fantasizing about living elsewhere, where the cost of living is less and I have wide open fields full of horses and mountain trails to bike ~ grass is greener syndrome.  The truth is I am damn lucky to be here and I just need to appreciate where I am in life.  Keep'in it simple.   A wise man once said "Mo money. Mo Problems"  I know he was right ~ all you gotta do is watch the news.
Eh ` enough randomness for the day ~ Boot camp tonight:  I'm ready for a good ass whippin!

  1. What a great thing for all of us to keep in mind while on this journey (and after too right?) I think everyday "I cannot wait to get this weight off!" but you know what? I'm really enjoying the changes that I see everyday. And as LBG says - maintenance is just as tough as losing sometimes because there is no finish - but you don't get the accolades and praise that you get while you're losing. Hmmm living in the moment. I like that. Thanks V!
